 As the flagship artist for Irv Gotti's Murder Inc label, New York's superstar gangsta rapper Ja Rule established himself as the world's most commercially successful rap artist in the early 2000's. 'Ja Rule 2005', released by Liberation Entertainment on the 29th October 2007, is a double DVD and Audio CD set featuring Ja Rule filmed in concert during his 2005 European tour. It includes a host of extras, including four bonus tracks, a lengthy, in-depth interview, videos from Ja Rule's days with Cash, Money Click, and a radio station tour which features more candid interviews with the superstar.
Ja Rule first shot to fame as the front man of rap collective Cash, Money Click. He went on to become a highly influential figure in the field of cross over rap. Many of his most successful singles have been collaborations with major artists, on which he toned down his earlier, hardcore thug rapper style and contrasted it most effectively with the sweet chorus singing of several international divas. Three of these featured divas were Jennifer Lopez ('I'm Real' and 'Aint' It Funny'), Ashanti ('Always On Time' and 'Mesmerize') and Mary J. Blige with the single 'Rainy Dayz'.
As well as his solo and duet success in the music field, Ja Rule has made a name for himself as a movie star actor as well as building up a business empire which includes merchandising his own range of fashion clothing and on-line gambling.
Ja Rule's long awaited seventh studio album 'The Mirror' is scheduled for release 25th September 2007.
