The six-part PERFECT DISASTERS series begins airing on 1st August on five, in the 8pm primetime slot, taking television science to new and exhilarating extremes. On 4th September 2006, Liberation Entertainment will release a Complete Series 3-Disc DVD Boxset, comprising all six 47 minute episodes supported by ‘The Science Behind the Disasters’ and ‘Science Facts Quiz’ DVD extras.
With a series production budget of £3m, Impossible Pictures have used the latest CGI modelling and animation techniques to create the gripping and hugely realistic visuals to draw in the audience; whilst some of the world’s most eminent and eloquent scientists explain the hard facts behind each disaster.
This ground-breaking documentary series has recently been nominated for its first major award. PERFECT DISASTERS is in the running for a gong at the 58th Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony to be held in LA on August 27th. The Emmy is for the ‘Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series’ category.
