Rev up the General Lee for the 6th August DVD release of THE DUKES OF HAZZARD: THE BEGINNING. This fun and sexy comedy features a cast of up and coming actors and is the prequel to the hit 2005 theatrical release starring Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson.

Taking its cue from the Dukes comedy that was first brought to life in the classic TV series, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD: THE BEGINNING is an action-packed feature film that contains wild car chases, Daisy's hilarious transformation into every Hazzard boy's fantasy girl, and all the comedy expected from the The Dukes of Hazzard.

THE DUKES OF HAZZARD: THE BEGINNING features some of young Hollywood's hottest rising stars including Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls, Cheaper by the Dozen) as Bo Duke, Randy Wayne (ABC's Sons and Daughters) as Luke Duke, and stunning Maxim cover girl April Scott (Entourage) as Daisy Duke.

Country music legend Willie Nelson returns from the 2005 cast to reprise his role as Uncle Jesse. Other cast members include Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks), and Chris McDonald (Broken Flowers, Happy Gilmore) as scheming Boss Hogg.

The Dukes of Hazzard has proven to be one of Warner Bros.' most popular and successful franchise properties beginning with the instantaneously successful television series that ran for seven seasons from 1979-1985. The original TV series remains a hit with a whole new generation of fans after finding life in a popular series of DVDs. The Dukes of Hazzard was reinvigorated by 2005's hit theatrical release which grossed $110 million at the box office worldwide and sold 5 million DVD units to date.

Synopsis
You never forget your first time! Meet teenagers Bo (Jonathan Bennett) and Luke Duke (Randy Wayne), high-spirited troublemakers, new to Hazzard County, paroled to the care of their moonshine-making Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson). Blowhard Boss Hogg (Christopher McDonald) is already fleecing the citizenry to line his pockets but crosses the line when he sets out to steal the Duke farm.

As the feudin' fussin, and fast-trackin' fun revs up, cousin Daisy (April Scott) transforms from country girl to Hazzard hottie and a vehicular legend –the General Lee- is born, along with the boys' skills for outrunning Hogg and his deputies.
