Made in 1975, Sparkle pre-dates the recently released Dreamgirls starring Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson by over thirty years. The soundtrack features music composed and produced by the late Curtis Mayfield and is performed by Grammy®-winning legend and Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. A cult classic, fans of this film have actually created an online petition to get Sparkle released on DVD which people have been signing since 2004!
