A NUTCRACKER TALE Prepare for more cartoon cat-astrophies this Christmas as the craziest cartoon duo return to the small screen in four new animated adventures courtesy of family entertainment favourite Warner Home Video.
Tom & Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale will be available to own on DVD from 5th November 2007, priced at £12.99, making it perfect stocking filler material, so don’t forget to add it to your wish list! Based on an original idea by creator Joe Barbera, Tom and Jerry find themselves in a fantastic wonderland brought to life by holiday magic and set to the music of Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker".
Unfortunately, a group of alley cats led by Tom, crash Jerry's party, kidnap the music box ballerina and wreak havoc in the holiday kingdom. It's up to Jerry to set things right and send those mean old cats back to the alley where they belong. With some help from a mouse named Tuffy and all his newfound friends... Jerry just might win the day! In Channel 4’s most recent poll of the 100 greatest cartoons, Tom & Jerry earned the prestigious position of No. 2, second only to The Simpsons. The terrible twosome consistently attracts over a quarter of a million viewers every week on Boomerang and more than half a million Tom & Jerry videos and DVDs have been sold since 2004. The unique popularity and appeal of this ever duelling duo crosses age and gender boundaries like no characters have before and only gets stronger over time.
